Tobin was not able to walk at graduation because of being bullied. She has graduated in 2007 at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy which is located in New York City. Tobin began her professional career performing on stage in Houston during the Theatre Under the Stars production of the musical Cats. She played Etcetera in the ensemble cast. In the following year, Tobin was in Houston and she performed in the ensemble of Theater Under the Stars' production of West Side Story. Tobin starred in Paper Mill Playhouse's High School Musical production on Stage! New Jersey. Between 2008 and 2009 she performed in the ensemble of Oklahoma! Theater of the Stars performed in Atlanta. Tobin's Broadway debut was as Sherrie Christian who played a swing character in her musical Rock of Ages. In 2011, she was performing on tour with Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
